Car Transport UK – Terms of Service
Legal terms and conditions for our vehicle transport services

1. Introduction
Welcome to Car Transport UK. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our vehicle transport services and website. By using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
Car Transport UK arranges professional vehicle transport across the UK. All transport services are carried out by independent third-party carriers ("Transport Providers"). Our role is to facilitate bookings and arrange transport services efficiently.
2. Definitions
- "Company," "we," "us," "our": Car Transport UK
- "Customer," "you," "your": The person or entity using our services
- "Services": Vehicle transport arrangements made on your behalf
- "Transport Provider": Third-party carrier performing the transport
- "Vehicle": Any motor vehicle, motorcycle, or transportable unit
3. Services Provided
We arrange:
- Vehicle transport by road (driven, flatbed, enclosed)
- Multi-vehicle and fleet transport
- Emergency and breakdown collection
- Specialist, event, and exhibition transport
4. Nature of Service
Car Transport UK acts solely as a booking agent and facilitator. The contract for the physical transport of the Vehicle is between you and the Transport Provider.
We do not guarantee that a Transport Provider will be able to complete the service where:
- Vehicle condition differs from that declared
- Access or site conditions prevent safe loading
- Specialist recovery is required but not agreed
5. Booking and Quotations
- Quotations are valid for 30 days
- Prices are based strictly on the information provided
- Prices may change if details differ (vehicle condition, access, delays)
- Full payment is required to confirm a booking
- We reserve the right to refuse service for safety, legal, or operational reasons
6. Customer Responsibilities
You agree that:
- The Vehicle must be accessible, safe, and lawful to transport
- All booking information is accurate and complete
You confirm that the Vehicle:
- Rolls freely
- Can be steered
- Can be placed into neutral
- Has working keys
- Has suitably inflated tyres
- Is accessible for collection and delivery
Failure to provide accurate information may result in:
- Refusal to transport
- Additional charges
- Loss of refund
7. Non-Runner Vehicles & Loading Conditions
Where a Vehicle is booked as a non-runner, the quoted service includes loading and unloading using standard transport equipment only, including a winch where appropriate.
Unless expressly agreed in writing, services do NOT include:
- Specialist recovery or extraction
- Dragging or forced movement
- Wheel skates/dollies
- Crane lifting
- Brake release or mechanical work
- Any engineering intervention
A Vehicle will be deemed not moveable if, including but not limited to:
- Wheels do not rotate freely
- Brakes are seized or binding
- Vehicle cannot be put into neutral
- Steering is locked or inoperative
- Tyres are flat, damaged, or unsafe
- Keys are missing or unusable
- Any condition makes loading unsafe in the Transport Provider's opinion
8. Access & Site Conditions
- Collection/delivery locations must be safe and accessible
- If access is not suitable, the Transport Provider may:
- Collect from the nearest safe location, or
- Refuse to proceed
This may result in additional charges or failed collection status
9. Waiting Time
- Up to 30 minutes waiting time is included
- Additional waiting time may be charged
10. Payment Terms
- Payment methods: bank transfer, debit/credit card
- All prices in GBP and include VAT where applicable
- Late payments may result in service suspension
11. Cancellations & Refunds
Customer Cancellation:
- More than 72 hours → Full refund minus admin fee (min £99)
- 48–72 hours → 50% refund
- Less than 48 hours / no-show → No refund
Failed Collection / Attended Call-Out:
If a Transport Provider attends and cannot complete the job due to:
- Vehicle condition not as described
- Vehicle not moveable
- Access issues
- Safety concerns
This will be treated as a failed collection / attended call-out.
In such cases:
- All service/admin fees are non-refundable
- Driver attendance and wasted journey costs remain payable
- No refund will be issued
- Rebooking will be charged separately
Company / Provider Cancellation:
If a Transport Provider cancels, refunds will be assessed based on costs incurred. Our admin/service fee may remain non-refundable.
Refund Discretion:
All refunds are issued at the sole discretion of Car Transport UK, taking into account costs incurred and services already arranged.
12. Liability & Insurance
- Transport Providers hold their own insurance
- Claims must be made directly against them
We are not liable for:
- Pre-existing damage
- Mechanical failure
- Delays or consequential losses
- Personal items left in vehicles
13. Evidence & Records
We and our Transport Providers may rely on:
- Photographs
- Call logs
- Messages
- Time-stamped attendance records
As evidence of:
- Vehicle condition
- Attendance
- Reasons for failed collection
14. Force Majeure
We are not liable for delays or failure due to events beyond our control (weather, road closures, strikes, etc.)
15. Data Protection
We process data in accordance with UK GDPR and our Privacy Policy
16. Complaints & Disputes
- Complaints must be made within 14 days
- We respond within 28 days
- Governed by English law
17. Prohibited Vehicles
We may refuse vehicles that:
- Are unsafe
- Lack documentation
- Contain hazardous materials
18. Chargebacks & Recovery
Where a customer initiates a chargeback or payment dispute without valid grounds, we reserve the right to recover all associated costs, including administrative and legal fees.
19. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Updated Terms apply to new bookings.
